One of our core expertise is the maintenance of log homes. Log homes are typically challenging projects as their design is usually complex. In our experience, log homes are tall structures that have really difficult angles to reach. They require the proper rigging that presents high liability for inexperienced crews. That is when our phone rings. Most of the log homes that we have finished in Colorado & Wyoming require 40 ft ladder positioning, scaffold and climbing techniques.
Log homes are also challenging to finish from both a product choice and application standpoints. Our clients don't want their multi million dollar home covered in stain drips. Inexperienced crews oftentimes leave logs unprotected yet full of drips. They also leave roofs, windows & decks covered in stain. This is as a result of not understanding proper product application. We leave log homes fully protected by applying multiple coats of product after properly preparing the logs for product application. We also have more than enough attention to detail to avoid any drips. We select both the correct product and method of application. It takes more than just running a brush to make a log home look professionally finished.
Our log home finishes have a typical durability of 8-10 years in Colorado high UV conditions. Most of the homes that we have finished are located above 8,000 ft of elevation. We truly understand product choice and proper product application.
