Over the last thirteen years we have been the "go to company" to restore most of the historic structures in Gold Hill, CO. Gold Hill was established in 1859 as the first permanent mining camp in the Colorado mountains. Here are some of the most recent examples of our work. We were hired to restore this 130 year old cabin in Gold Hill, Colorado.
The cabin had been unattended for about 20 years. We had to fully sand the trim and fix 80% of the windows.
Our company was hired to fully restore the ten windows present in this historic structure. The School House had not been attended in about 15 years. The project scope included removing old glazing from every single window pane, rebuilding the glazing bars and re-glazing 80 panes of single leaded glass made in the 1800.
Each historic window has eight panes made of single pane leaded glass. The mullions and glazing bars that provide structural support to the glass were partially rotten and needed to be rebuilt.
In June 2017 we were hired on a very exciting project. It entailed the exterior restoration of this the circa-1890 mining cabin devastated by the September 12, 2013 Boulder County flash flood. More details about this property can be found in the 5280 Denver Magazine.
